ARSHA
In Ayurveda, piles are known as Arshas. They are swollen veins in the lower part of the rectum and anus, causing discomfort, pain, and bleeding. Piles can be classified into internal and external, depending on the location of the swelling. This condition is often caused by an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas. The condition results in the veins becoming inflamed and engorged, causing pain and discomfort, especially during bowel movements.
